Candidate Filing Information
Listed below are the filing requirements for those individuals seeking public office.
- Candidate must be an eligible voter.
- Candidate is, or will be on assuming the office, 21 years of age or older.
- Candidate has maintained residence in the district from which the candidate seeks election for 30 days before the general election.
- Candidates must file an Affidavit of Candidacy and pay a $10 filing fee with the City Clerkâs office at Corcoran City Hall located at 8200 County Road 116, Corcoran, MN 55340. City Hall is open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. - Noon on Fridays.
- Candidates must file Campaign Finance reporting documents.

City of Corcoran Candidate Filing Packet
The City of Corcoran is required to post the financial reports on our web site to be accessible for four years. Submitted candidate affidavits and campaign finance reporting documents can be found in the document container at the bottom of this page.
If a candidate has filed an initial report, but fails to file a subsequent campaign finance report with due, the City of Corcoran will notify the candidate; if no reply is received within 10 days of notification, Corcoran must file a complaint before the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings. Certificates of Election are only issued to winning candidates wo have filed Certification of Filing Forms.
