TRAFFIC IMPACT ALERT:

This is a notice to residents regarding a road improvement project to Stieg Road between County Road 101 and County Road 116.

The project includes rebuilding the existing gravel road to a paved roadway with curb and gutter installed next to the new Pulte development. The portion of roadway west of the development will be paved but will remain a rural road section with stormwater runoff going to the existing ditches. The project will take place in two phases; during which, the roadway will be closed in those specific areas to allow for the roadway construction. A figure with the extent of the phases is provided below.

Phase 1 is anticipated to begin the week of August 19, 2024, and last approximately six weeks. Access will be maintained for residents within Phase 1, and residents west of the closure can utilize the planned detour route following County Road 116, County Road 30, and County Road 101 to navigate to the eastern end of Stieg Road.

Phase 2 will occur after the contractor has completed Phase 1 of the project and is anticipated to last approximately eight weeks. Access will be maintained for residents within Phase 2, while residents of the Amberly development will exit to the east through the Kenwood Lane entrance. Residents in the Gordon Country Farms and Twin Barns Estates neighborhoods will exit to County Road 116 on Country Road or Jackie Lane and will then follow the planned detour route along County Road 116, County Road 30, and County Road 101 to navigate to the eastern end of Stieg Road.

The goal of the two-phase approach is to maintain continuous access for all residents with as little disruption as possible throughout the duration of the project.

Construction activities will be ongoing throughout this area through much of the fall, so please exercise patience and caution when driving through these areas to ensure the safety of both residents and contractors during this time.

If you have questions at any point concerning the temporary roads or any other questions about the Stieg Road Improvement Project, please reach out to Caleb Kroeze (763-358-4528, [email protected]).
