Position: Snow Plow Operator
Wage: $27.23-30.26 depending on qualifications
The Snow Plow Operator is responsible for operating equipment in road maintenance, construction and/or repairs; performing snow and ice control operations; conducting vehicle scheduled maintenance on department vehicles. Typical work hours will not extend beyond 6-months and may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Essential duties include operation of heavy equipment for highway maintenance, such as pick-up plow truck, dump truck, front-end loader, skid loader, tractor, and lawn mower/blower. Performs snow and ice control on assigned roads.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or G.E.D., one-year experience in road maintenance and/or construction, a valid Class B or D CDL driver's license and be able to drive in the State of Minnesota. This position uses equipment for road maintenance, construction, and repair, with frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 60 pounds of force.
