Update: June, 2023. The contractor has begun excavation at the water tower site for the foundation in late May/early June. Initial erosion control measures and excavation activities will begin shortly with a significant amount of work to be completed on the tower foundation before the structure can be erected.
Overview
On October 27, 2022, the City Council approved a site plan, preliminary plat, and variance request for the City's first water tower. The location of this project is on the south side of 19951 Oswald Farm Road (Hope Community Church).
The approval and construction of this water tower is planned to coincide with the construction of the City's first Water Treatment Facility (located at 10120 County Road 116).
Tower Design
The tower body is designed to be constructed with a steel body and will hold 1,000,000 gallons of water. The tower will be 156 feet in height, 28 feet in diameter, and 62 feet in diameter at it's widest point.
Final paint colors and logo details will be approved by the City Council in the Summer of 2023.
